To achieve our mission of equipping homeless children, adults and families with the skills they need to be successful and to make it on their own, we rely heavily on the community for support.  Churches, congregations, companies, and civic groups come out to Our House on a regular basis to volunteer.  Will your group or family consider volunteering at Our House? 

Group volunteers can make a big impact in a short amount of time.  It’s a great way to get to know your co-workers better or to expose your children to the joys of serving others.  Some group volunteer projects require an ongoing commitment while others are a one-time deal. 

Ongoing Projects:

• Prepare and serve dinner for 90 in The Shelter
• Prepare and serve lunch for 30 – 50 in The Shelter
• With your family, mentor a homeless family in our Friends of the Family program

One-Time Projects:

• Prepare and serve lunch or dinner in the Family House
• Plan a party to help Our Hosue’s children celebrate Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving or another holiday
• Host a Family Housing program graduation ceremony
• Trim bushes
• Clean planters
• Re-mulch and place rocks around flower bed
• Host a Family Day at Our House (cookout, movies, games)
• Do a deep-clean of one of our buildings
