Adult Basic Education
The Learning Center’s Adult Basic Education activities are supervised by two instructors from Pulaski Special School District Adult Education. On Monday through Thursday from 8 AM-4:30 PM, students may take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) to assess their reading, language and math skills and make use of the Learning Centers education software, volunteer tutors and adult education instructors to improve these skills.
GED Preparation
The Learning Center’s GED prep program exists as a natural extension of a student’s progress in their basic education skills. Our adult education instructors use GED prep software and onsite practice testing to prepare students to take the GED.
College Applications, Enrollment, and Scholarships
In partnership with the UALR Education Opportunity Center, the Learning Center assists students who are interested in applying to college or finding education scholarships. A counselor from Pulaski Tech visits weekly with students to walk them through the application process and assist them in finding financial aid for which they are eligible.
