ways to give
Whether the donation is $20 or $2,000, your gift will have a significant impact on the life of a working homeless resident at Our House. Choose any of the options below to make a contribution. If you have further questions, please contact our Development Coordinator, Whitney Wellborn, for more information. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
One-Time Donation
Your donation makes a difference in the lives of homeless men, women, and children. Thanks to your generosity, Our House is able to serve the working homeless and provide the resources to permanently lift them out of poverty.
New! Make a Monthly Donation and become a House Warmer
Become a House Warmer for Our House. This program honors dedicated donors who make regular monthly contributions through credit card, debit card or electronic fund transfers from a checking or savings account.
As a House Warmer, you will receive monthly communications from Our House including impact updates and House Warmer reports with short resident stories and Our House news. You will also be signed up to receive our e-newsletter.
Give a Memorial or Honor Gift
Honor a loved one with the gift of hope. Make a donation in memory of a loved one, in celebration of a holiday, or just to show you are thinking of someone. Your honoree will receive a special acknowledgment card from Our House, and you will receive a tax receipt in the mail.
Make a Charitable Gift as Part of Your Estate
There are many ways to make a bequest to Our House in your estate, and all of them are easy and amenable. A few lines in your trust or will can impact Our House indefinitely. If your estate is subject to estate tax, your charitable gift is entitled to an estate tax deduction for the gift's full value.
- Make a bequest as a memorial for deceased loved one.
- Leave assets in your estate through a bequest, which is one of the most popular types of planned gifts.
- Leave a gift of life insurance, which would provide a generous gift with attractive tax benefits upon your death.
- Leave a gift of your retirement plan assets, which would avoid the twofold taxation on the assets.
We and the people we serve sincerely appreciate your gifts, whatever shape or amount they take. Please consult an attorney, tax professional or investment professional for legal, tax or investment advice. The information on this site is not intended as such.
fundraising events
We hope you will support Our House and our deserving residents through this year’s Tie One On. The event will include both silent and live auctions of aprons and themed packages donated by local artists, celebrities, and vendors.
The ticket price of $55 per person includes entertainment, food, and beverages. The price of one ticket is equivalent to the cost of one week in the shelter with meals, basic needs, and counseling for a working homeless resident of Our House. See our events page for more information.
You may also host a fundraising event at your congregation or place of employment. For more information emailWhitney Wellborn, Development Coordinator.
